Jason Statham Supports Dwayne Johnson’s Expression of Opinion Regarding Vin Diesel but Prefers to Remain Neutral

Fast and Furious, one of Hollywood’s most popular franchises with an estimated valuation of $1 billion, has captivated audiences with its themes of love for family and friends. Fans admire how the characters in the film always have each other’s backs. However, behind the scenes, the cast members don’t share the same strong bond.

Jason Statham, a key cast member, witnessed the deteriorating relationship between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. Following the feud, the former WWE champion departed from the series after the eighth installment. The conflict between the two stars is complex, but Jason Statham believes that Dwayne Johnson was justified in his actions. Nevertheless, he chooses not to take sides, preferring to avoid becoming entangled in the feud.

During an exclusive interview with People, Jason Statham made it clear that he wanted no part in the controversy surrounding his co-stars, Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. He maintained a neutral stance, stating, “I stay out of any bickering or any troubles that people have. I have nothing to do with it, and I don’t want any part of it. Look, Dwayne’s his own man, and what he says, he’s entitled to say in his own way. And what he wants to say—you’ve got to ask him.”

Reflecting on his experience with the cast and crew, Statham expressed his admiration, describing it as “phenomenal.” He spoke highly of the entire team and emphasized his friendship with Dwayne Johnson, stating that he’d like to maintain their positive relationship. Notably, Statham and Johnson collaborated on the successful spin-off film “Hobbs and Shaw,” which earned an impressive $760 million at the box office.

The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson originated in 2016 when reports surfaced about their severed relationship. Dwayne Johnson initiated the feud publicly through social media, expressing his frustrations with his male co-stars’ behavior. However, the conflict escalated further in 2021 when Dwayne Johnson responded to Vin Diesel’s Instagram post about a private conversation they had regarding Johnson’s departure from the franchise. Johnson expressed surprise at Diesel’s post and criticized him for bringing up his children and the late Paul Walker’s death. Johnson clarified that they had previously discussed his exit and reached a clear understanding.

Fans, disappointed by Dwayne Johnson’s departure, directed their criticism toward Vin Diesel, perceiving his actions as desperate. They believed that the franchise lost its charm and failed to perform well at the box office without Johnson’s presence.
